Lincoln

The Linc Centre is in the heart of the Lincoln and Bromley neighbourhoods. It delivers a variety of community regeneration activities and specialises in providing a range of sessions from housing surgeries to youth services.

Within our timetable we provide a selection of vocational, social, recreational, and welfare groups and sessions to cater for the varied and diverse residents in the area. These include senior and junior youth groups, play schemes during holidays, exercise and aerobics, advice and guidance, IT and ESOL classes.

We also have dedicated staff to deliver a range of employment and training initiatives to offer support around job searches, filling in application forms, interview techniques and benefit related issues.

A crucial part of these activities are those we run for young people. The Linc Centre staff have built strong and creative relationships with the young people in the area and run a wide range of programmes, from youth exchanges to IT classes to music and DJ Training. We also run daily youth clubs with activities that encourage children to take responsibility for their own development and use their enthusiasm, energy and knowledge to accomplish personal goals.

We also run a volunteering programme to give people the opportunity to get involved in community work and gain valuable experience.

Partnerships

We also work closely with local residents, and have formed partnerships with them, such as the Lincoln Area Regeneration Group (LARG), who are resident-led. Their primary focus is to bring prosperity and economic, environment and social changes to the Lincoln and Bromley Area. We also work with local schools and other agencies.
