Partnership raid closes drug den

09 July 2008
Poplar HARCA carried out a raid of 100 Rounton Road with the Bromley by Bow Safer Neighbourhood team after receiving complaints of anti-social behaviour. The property has now been closed and secured and Poplar HARCA is now working to evict the tenant. Jamie Lock Community Safety Manager said; “Poplar HARCA and the Safer Neighbourhood Teams are committed to making Poplar a safe place to live. Drug dealing is not acceptable and we will take action against offenders. If any residents are experiencing anti-social behaviour we urge them to come forward. Residents’ evidence is vital in the fight against crime.’ Poplar HARCA has been achieving consistent results in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour by working in partnership with the police, Tower Hamlets Council and residents. By sharing information with partners, Poplar HARCA has been able to take action quickly.
