ASB Actionnet Award 2011
30 August 2011Poplar HARCA was awarded the Lemos and Crane ASB Actionnet Award 2011 for recent work around tackling antisocial behaviour.
The award recognises the work of a very complicated case which was successful thanks to the brave involvement of residents who enabled action to be taken.
The ASBActionNet Awards are presented by Lemos & Crane for specific examples of casework that have successfully tackled anti-social behaviour, dealt with the perpetrator(s) and satisfied the victim(s).
Entries were received from social landlords, providers of housing-related support, local authorities, police services, and organisations working in partnership with these agencies.
Paul Crane from Lemos & Crane visited Poplar HARCA’s head office to present Jamie Lock, Head of Enforcement, and Reverend James, resident and Poplar HARCA Vice Chair, with an award and £1000. The £1,000 will be invested back into the community.
Jamie Lock said: “This award is particularly special to Poplar HARCA because it acknowledges the role of our residents in taking action against antisocial behaviour and shows that you can get results if you work in partnership. I’d like to thank everyone, staff and residents who each own a part of this award.”
