Staff from Poplar HARCA and the Metropolitan Police discovered and closed down a cannabis factory in Poplar on Monday the 18 January 2010.

Thousands of pounds worth of cannabis was found at the property on Saracen Street E14 as Poplar HARCA staff and police entered the premises.

Poplar HARCA’s Housing Officer initially entered the property after reports of water leakage only to find that several rooms, cupboards and the bathroom was used to cultivate cannabis. Heating, lighting and vent systems had been installed to create a green house effect.

With the help of Poplar HARCA and the ongoing support of the local community we will continue to bring offenders to justice."
