Poplar HARCA mentoring programme
19 January 2012We have introduced a new mentoring programme to support Poplar residents to get work.
Our mentoring programme aims to
- provide a positive role model for those wanting to get a job;
- improve motivation and self confidence;
- support unemployed Poplar residents to gain employment;
- provide signposting that will enable access to further support; and
- develop skills relevant to a particular sector.
The mentoring programme will run over six months, during which mentees will have two house support each month from their mentor though face to face meetings, telephone and email contact. Mentors are professionals who come from a variety of backgrounds and volunteer their time to help others achieve their potential.
