Tackling crime and antisocial behaviour (ASB)

We believe that residents have the right to live peacefully in their homes, without the fear of antisocial behaviour. We recognise that tackling antisocial behaviour is a high priority for our residents. We are committed to to taking action against those who engage in antisocial behaviour.

What is antisocial behaviour?

  • damage to property (including graffiti and vandalism)
  • harassment (including racist and homophobic incidents)
  • alcohol and solvent abuse
  • nuisance from vehicles (including parking and abandoned cars)

Antisocial behaviour policy

Poplar HARCA is committed to providing homes that people want to live in, in communities where people feel safe, in areas that people feel proud of. We will encourage tolerance and respect to foster an inclusive environment within which individuals and communities can thrive. We understand the enduring harm that Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) can cause to individuals, neighbourhoods and communities. We recognise that to provide a quality housing service Poplar HARCA must be effective in tackling the causes of and problems associated with all types of ASB. We will work to deal with ASB quickly, effectively and in a way that respects complainants’ preferences.
