Rent information

Your tenancy agreement has details of how much rent you owe every week.

The rent is due every week on a Monday and can be paid using various payment options.

Rent statements
You will get a rent statement every 13 weeks. It tells you how much you should pay and how much you have actually paid. It shows if you owe money (arrears) or if you have paid in advance (credit)

Falling behind with your rent
If you fall behind with your rent, please talk to us. We can arrange for you to pay what you owe in affordable extra weekly amounts.

We will take legal action against people who refuse to clear their debt.

If you do get behind with your rent please phone us on 0800 035 1991. Ask to speak to a Income Recovery Officer. They will:

  • check that you are getting the right benefits
  • give you any claim forms you may need and help you fill them in
  • explain your rent and benefits
  • suggest the best way to manage your money

Together we can work out how to pay off what you owe. We will always try to help people get out of rent debt. But we will take swift legal action against anyone who refuses to pay.
