Live Well community training kitchen launched

The kitchen recently opened at Limborough Gardens on the Burdett Estate and complements the communal green house, food growing area and 2015 Chelsea Flower Show winning ornamental garden already on the site.

The training kitchen completes the plan to create an integrated space for food growing, training in healthy cooking and food enterprise as well as providing a beautiful and relaxing space for local people.

This dynamic space is jointly managed by the Limborough Community Gardening Group, Leaders in Community (LiC) and the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) with support from Poplar HARCA staff  staff based at St. Paul’s Way Community Centre.

What's next?

In partnership with Play Association Tower Hamlets (PATH), we will be creating a new play space for toddlers near the entrance to the Green.

Thanks to all our partners especially the People’s Postcode Trust (PPT) which contributed funds to complete the scheme and Morgan Stanley for donating the flower garden.

To enquire about access to this facility, please call Momtaz Ajid of LiC on 0207 987 8796  or Beth Summers of WEN on 020 7481 9004.
