Poplar HARCA is delighted to announce that Paul Dooley has become its newest Director of Development & Regeneration. This follows the retirement of Neal Hunt, the former Director, on 30th April after 13 years at Poplar HARCA.
Paul will lead the strategic delivery of the organisation’s new build and community-driven regeneration programmes, including the transformative Teviot, Aberfeldy New Masterplan and Chrisp Street Market schemes which together could create more than 4,000 new homes, as well as community, commercial and retail spaces, in one square mile of East London.
Paul grew up in Bow, East London and has lived in Tower Hamlets for most of his life. He started his career in construction working for main contractors in a variety of roles, beginning as a Management Trainee and working up to Director level. During this time, Paul worked in many sectors including education, retail, commercial and housing, with projects ranging in size from £1m to £200m. He first joined Poplar HARCA in 2010 as Director of Estate Regeneration to lead the £145m Housing Choice programme, to regenerate over 3,000 homes on six different estates across Poplar.
Paul Dooley said: “I’m excited for the new role, to continue to contribute to the development of an area where I have grown up. I am looking forward to helping unlock both the physical potential of our assets and to maximise social value, to create opportunity through regeneration.”Find out more about Poplar HARCA's development schemes
