At Poplar HARCA, supporting our local communities, emotional wellbeing and physical health is important to us. Our Communications Team are looking for a Graphic Design Volunteer to help with the visual promotion of our online platform. In the upcoming months, we’ll be undergoing a transformation of our Facebook page, as well as some changes to our social media.
The volunteer will be working to:
Create engaging social media graphics for our Instagram, and Facebook accounts
Create short animated videos and Infographics for social media
Assist in maintaining the creative strategy and the effective development of visual identity.
Community Projects & Partnerships Officer
Location: The option to work from home remotely or at one of our community centres is available.
Hours: 7 hours/week, can be completed over the span of 2 days.
As a Graphic Design Volunteer, you should:
Have previous Graphic Design experience
Posses a keen eye for detail and what makes a powerful design
Have good working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and other Adobe programs
Have video and photography skills
Be proactive and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve
Have a flexible working attitude, someone who is willing to go the extra mile to contribute to great teamwork
Be self-motivated and a self-starter
Commit to dedicating 3 months minimum as a volunteer

Poplar Works Fashion Volunteer
Helga plays a key role supporting the Accents team to deliver the Poplar Works programme. This includes exploring and researching new opportunities for Poplar Works such as funding, events, enterprise initiatives, promotional opportunities and partnerships.
