Jubilee Community Picnic: One off event

We’re hosting a community picnic involving a number of exciting activities for children and families to take part in. There’ll be a selection of cultural and modern dishes, as well as a baking competition, crown making, face painting and arts & crafts.

We’re looking for volunteers to support the day’s activities, from helping to dish out food and organising the bakes, to getting stuck in with the kids creating crowns.

Date: Wednesday 1st June, 11am – 5pm

Description of tasks

  • Support staff with organising and setting up equipment
  • Greet and welcome all those attending
  • Support all the different activities and steward
  • Keep an eye on young children to make sure they are safe/not in the way of any harm
  • Maintain communication with staff to alert them of any disruptions
  • Help staff pack away after the event has come to an end
  • Adhere to Poplar HARCA’s Health & Safety guidelines when volunteering with us

Note: We reimburse lunch and travel expenses
