Skill Share Volunteer

Looking to give back to the community in 2025? We’re looking for people who would like to share their skills as volunteers. If you have a skill that you could share with the local community, we’d like to hear from you.
We want volunteers to lead a workshop or series of classes to upskill our local community.

The application form is for our regular volunteering opportunities so please include the following information in your answers…

– details of your idea and if you have ever done it before

– what has inspired the idea

– what are you hoping to gain from the experience

Here are a few skills you can share:

  • Teach an instrument
  • Knitting/crochet
  • Spoken word or poetry
  • Art therapy
  • Coffee club
  • Book club
  • Sports club

This role allows you to build your CV and gain experience in delivery/facilitation.

Classes will be held at one of our community centres.

Details Benefits Requirements

Ideally the class should be delivered weekly, and you should commit to delivering 4-6 sessions to allow consistent programming.

The volunteer will be supported on how to schedule each class and delivering the class in-person.

Time & date can be agreed with the centre lead subject to availability.
