Video Editor Volunteer

At Poplar HARCA, supporting our local communities, emotional wellbeing and physical health is important to us. As part of our community programming we have launched an online community platform are in need of a Volunteer Video Editor to help us create compelling digital assets and engaging resources

We need a video editor to help us launch new offerings and develop exciting new resources for use.

Duties will involve:

  • Cutting together raw footage
  • Adding music and sound effects to videos
  • Adding text and graphics to videos
  • Animation and visual effects
  • Editing existing videos

Details Benefits Requirements

Date/s: Flexible (minimum three month commitment)

Hours: 10am – 6pm (6 hours minimum/can be split over 2 days)

Location: Volunteering remotely from home

 

As a Volunteer Video Editor, you will need to have:

  • Academic or professional experience in video production, media/film or related field of study
  • Possess the ability to work on projects independently as well as with a team collaborating on story angles/ideas
  • Access to video/ photo equipment as well as editing software
  • Experience in photography, writing and other storytelling methods also strongly preferred
  • Commit a minimum of 3 months to volunteering with us

This will involve answering questions on a range of topics from your strengths to areas for development and your time management. Unfortunately we cannot accept references from family or friends. If possible, at least one referee should know you from work, education or volunteering.
