Volunteer Ride Leaders

Poplar HARCA has partnered up with active travel organisation Sustrans and environmental organisation HUBBUB to bring residents the Chrisp Street Family Cycle Centre. We will offer free cycle hire, routes, trips, led rides, maintenance, classes and more. This is a pilot project and will last 8 weeks starting the final week of July.

In a separate project we have teamed up with JoyRiders to provide group riding for women and families. If you would like to become a volunteer ride leader please apply, all training provided.

This opportunity is suitable for anyone who is passionate about cycling and can help to encourage and support others as they take up cycling. You may already be a trained ride leader or would be willing to be trained up to support, weekly, fortnightly or monthly rides.

If you don’t have your own bike you can borrow one of ours while you are volunteering. We will have a minimum of two ride leaders per ride with a max of four participants.
