Help improve life for people with cancer in Tower Hamlets

Have you had cancer, or cared for someone with cancer?

Tower Hamlets Council are holding focus groups and one-to-one conversations for people with personal experiences of cancer to talk about their experience of support.

As part of the Tower Hamlets Living with Cancer programme, funded by Macmillan, the aim is to transform the quality of life for people affected by cancer who live in our borough.

People who have had cancer recently, people who had cancer years ago, and carers and family members are all invited to attend. We want to hear what’s important to people with cancer, their carers and family members - and what kind of support you would like to see in the borough.

Two of these sessions are taking place at Poplar HARCA community centres:

Thursday 7th February
St Paul’s Way Centre
12.30pm – 2.30pm

Wednesday 27th February
Teviot Neighbourhood Centre
12pm – 2pm

Lunch will be provided, and your travel expenses will be reimbursed. If you have any accessibility needs, please contact Becky to discuss these.

There are also sessions taking place at different locations and dates in the borough, as well as some one-to-one conversations with a researcher.

Contact Becky Driscoll (07956 360 510 / becky.driscoll@towerhamlets.gov.uk) to find out more.
