“If you’re scared, join a course like this, especially if you’re older. There are so many scams, and this helps you avoid them.”
Why are digital skills important to the community?
We created the digital skills champions programme in response to feedback from residents who needed help getting online. Many people shared that they struggled to use computers or online services for everyday tasks like paying bills, accessing their medical information, Universal Credit, and online shopping. We listened to their concerns and acted.
Over the past six years, we’ve helped over 1,000 people get connected and gain digital skills.
