2024

Global Women Inventors and Innovation Network Award

Caroline Murray and the Knitting the Air project received special recognition at the Global Women Inventors and Innovation Network awards ceremony on Thursday 3 October. The project brings together residents, services and community organisations to visualise local air pollution data through knitting. It was commended for combining data visualisation, community co-production, environmental awareness and art.

Housing Technology Awards

Our project team were commended for installing smart home devices in our residents’ homes. They won bronze in the Customer and Tenants Service category, at the Housing Technology Awards. The use of HomeLink technology enables residents to monitor air quality and humidity.

Tailored Employment Support of the Year

Our Employment and Training team jointly won a Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Employability award for the Active Inclusion programme, led by Clarion Futures. It supports over 650 vulnerable adults in overcoming barriers to employment through training, confidence-building, and digital skills development.

Ade Akande, who leads the Get Active programme for Spotlight, our creative youth service, was awarded for his exceptional work and person- centred approach by Tower Hamlets Together.

Our Chrisp Street Community Cycles partnership with Sustrans has won an award for Team Modeshift Partnership of the Year

Chrisp Street Community Cycles won a Sustrans Sustainability award for promoting cycling in the local area, helping to lower emissions.

London Youth Award

Moosa Miah, a 19-year-old from Tower Hamlets and one of our Service Committee Board Members is the London Youth Awards 2023 Young Leader of the Year. Moosa is recognised for his groundbreaking role as the first young person with senior decision-making powers at Poplar HARCA, showcasing his commitment to youth advocacy and positive community change.

2022

New London Award

In partnership with EcoWorld London, our Aberfeldy regeneration has won a New London Award in the Public Spaces category, which recognises the improvements made to local open spaces, playgrounds and streets to provide the local community with more healthy, green spaces.

British Homes Awards

With EcoWorld London, we won Best Housing Partnership for the transformation of Aberfeldy Village at the British Homes Awards. Together, we’ve provided hundreds of new homes and improved green spaces to create a friendly and welcoming environment for the local community.

Inside Housing Development Awards

We were awarded Best Partnership for over 100 homes at the Inside Housing Development Awards for Aberfeldy Village. This award recognises our joint venture with EcoWorld London to deliver quality homes and community spaces co-designed by local residents.
Our Development team was also shortlisted for Best Development team (urban).

Our Aberfeldy Village scheme was highly commended for Best Regeneration at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards. Since the regeneration began, we’ve provided over 900 new homes and we hope to build 1,600 more.
