How to report antisocial behaviour

Antisocial behaviour (ASB) is behaviour that causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm, or distress to others. It can also include actions that unreasonably interfere with people’s day-to-day lives. If you’re experiencing antisocial behaviour, you can report it to us online, by email or over the phone.

Our approach to antisocial behaviour

Our Antisocial Behaviour Policy has been developed with input from residents to help ensure our approach is clear, fair and focused on the support people need. The policy explains how we investigate reports, work with partner agencies and keep residents informed throughout the process.

  • When and where it took place 
  • Who is involved (if known) 
  • Any supporting information or evidence

When you use forms to get in touch with us, we collect personal information for the purposes of dealing with your enquiry. Reporting different types of ASB

Some issues should be reported to other services first: 

  • Call 999 if someone is in immediate danger or a crime is in progress
  • If you’re worried about someone but they’re not in immediate danger, you can report your concerns to our Safeguarding team, who can offer support.
  • For drug dealing, violence or harassment, report to the Police (101 or 999, or online), then let us know
  • For animal cruelty, report to the RSPCA (0300 1234 999)
  • For out noise out-of-hours, contact Tower Hamlets Council, Thursday–Sunday evenings only (020 7364 5000)
  • For environmental issues such as fly-tipping, you can report to us or the Council depending on the situation

You can still let us know about any of these, and we will work with partner agencies where needed.
