Energy Ombudsman: Heat Networks

As a Heat Network supplier, we're registered with the Energy Ombudsman, an Ofgem approved regulator for UK gas and electricity.

The Energy Ombudsman independently handles disputes between consumers and energy suppliers.

What is a Heat Network?

Heat Networks are sometimes known as communal or district heating and relate to how a building is heated.  It means residents cannot switch energy supplier, and we, as your managing agent, or landlord, pay energy suppliers directly and recharge you for energy costs.

We employ billing agents ISTA and Sycous to collect energy bills from residents with Heat Network supplies, on our behalf.

Do I live in a building with a Heat Network?

Residential buildings for which we’re responsible and supplied by Heat Networks include:

  • Baler Court
  • Bight Court
  • Braid Court
  • Hockle Court
  • Island Point
  • Jenny Court
  • Jolles House
  • Lanyard Court
  • Lariat Court
  • Luff Court
  • Marsh Wall
  • Maypole Court
  • Shackle Court
  • Sheave Court
  • Skein Court
  • Thimble Court

Heat Meters

By law, all homes on communal heating must have heat meters where feasible. So, we are assessing our blocks and arranging installation of meters.

While the communal heating source remains the same, the billing method will change.
