Fly-tipping

Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste, such as household rubbish, furniture, or building materials, in communal areas or public spaces.

Our Estate Services team is on the ground every day and will let our Community Safety team know if they see fly-tipping so it can be investigated.

How to report fly-tipping

If you see a fly-tip in one of our communities, please let us know:

Please include:

  • What has been dumped and where
  • Any information about who may be responsible
  • If you can, please include a photo
Report fly-tipping

What happens next

We will look into the report, and where possible, take action against those responsible. We have the power to recharge residents responsible for fly tipping for the cost of removing rubbish dumped in communal areas.

Our buildings operate a clear corridor policy. This means that, for health and safety reasons, no items should be left in communal areas.
