Threats and harassment 

Threats of abuse or violence are criminal offences, and should be reported to the Police as soon as possible.

How to make a report to the Police

  • Call 999 if you are in immediate danger 
  • Call 101 for non-emergencies 

You must tell them if you’re concerned about your safety or someone else’s.

If you’re experiencing threats or harassment, please also report it to our Community Safety team so we can support you.  

Please include your Police reference number (CAD number) so we can follow this up.

How we can support you

We will work with you and the Police to help resolve the situation and keep you safe.

If you’re willing to support us with taking legal action, including going to court, depending on the circumstances we may be able to apply for an injunction against the person.

Your Community Safety Officer will talk this through with you and explain your options.
