Poplar Works is a new home for fashion in East London. Located in the heart of Poplar, it’s a space where people come to work, learn and gain skills.

Comprising of over 40 individual studios, a training centre and a garment production unit set across two sites on the Teviot and Aberfeldy estates, Poplar Works’ aim is to help people and business reach their full potential in the fashion industry.

The scheme is the product of a proud partnership between Poplar HARCA, The Trampery, London College of Fashion, UAL, and the Greater London Authority. It is part of the Fashion District, a partnership of organisations supporting the growth of the fashion industry in East London.

Poplar Works will equip people in the local community with the skills and opportunities to establish careers in the creative industries by:

  • providing much needed low cost workspace
  • training over 40 people a year in fashion production
  • offering a range of business support programmes
  • bringing manufacturing back to Poplar.
