Your views help us improve

What you think about us matters. That’s why we’re listening, taking your feedback onboard and working on making our services better for you.  

Following our Resident Survey last year, we’ve chatted with over 70 residents to find out more about what you think we do well and where you think we can improve.

Through a mix of focus groups and 1 on 1 conversations, you told us you like it when we:

  • Check in, and follow up with you
  • Take ownership and tell you who’s dealing with your enquiry
  • Respond quickly to your enquiries
  • Provide local opportunities such as jobs and training
  • Share information on our website and in newsletters

You also highlighted some areas where you think we need to do better.

We’ve listened to what you have to say, and based on your feedback we’re going to make sure we:

  • Acknowledge when you’ve reached out, and keep you updated
  • Give you named contacts
  • Check in with you more often, especially if you’re older or need more support
  • Be clear, and tell you what we can and can’t do
  • Explain the decisions we make
  • Apologise when things go wrong

Seven residents have also signed up to our new Community Panel to help your voices be heard.

The panel will explore how we can engage with you better, including improving how we listen and act on what we hear.

By Spring next year they’ll put forward their recommendations for us to ensure our residents are involved in shaping the way we work going forward.
