Going green with e-vans

Our Estates Services team has introduced two new electric vans to its fleet, as part of our commitment to improving the environment. As well as supporting the team to keep our estates clean and green, the new vans will also help to reduce negative emissions in Tower Hamlets.

Cleaner air, greener estates and less vehicle noise are just a few of the benefits local people can look forward thanks to our new eco-friendly electric vehicles.

Together with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, we’re on a mission to zero out carbon emissions in the borough by 2045 (or sooner!). And with two new e-vans on the road, our Estates Services team is actively facing up to the fight against climate change.

Together for a net zero carbon Tower Hamlets

Joao Pereira, our Estate Services Manager, said: “Our new e-vans are great! I typically charge them for around 6 hours, and then use them all week. As well as producing less carbon emissions than normal vans, they also save us from going to petrol stations – meaning we have more time to spend on keeping estates looking nice and clean for our residents.”
