Introducing One Team Neighbourhoods

25/06/2026

Shaped by resident feedback, designed to improve your service.

From 1 July, we’re introducing a new way of working called One Team Neighbourhoods.

This change is based on what residents have told us they want from their housing service. Through surveys, meetings, estate conversations and feedback, residents have consistently asked for:

  • A named person to talk to
  • More face-to-face contact with staff
  • Faster responses and clearer communication
  • Greater accountability and ownership
  • More visible staff on estates
  • More opportunities to shape services
  • We’ve listened and we’re making changes to improve the service you receive.

What is One Team Neighbourhoods?

Instead of different teams working across different areas and boundaries, we’ll have dedicated local teams working together in four neighbourhoods.

Each neighbourhood will have its own dedicated team made up of:

  • Housing Officers
  • Property Inspectors
  • Surveyors
  • Estate Services Managers

By working together as one local team, staff will have a better understanding of your area and be able to work more closely to resolve issues.

What this means for residents

The new approach will help us provide a more consistent, visible and responsive service.
You can expect:

Named staff and clearer ownership
Each neighbourhood will have dedicated officers with clear responsibilities, making it easier to know who to contact and who is responsible for resolving issues.

More visible neighbourhood teams
Neighbourhood staff will spend more time in their local areas through regular estate walkabouts, tenancy and property checks, and face-to-face engagement with residents.

Faster responses and better communication
By working together as one team, staff can share information more effectively, make decisions more quickly and keep residents updated throughout the process.

More influence over local services
We’ll introduce neighbourhood action plans so residents can see what’s happening locally, provide feedback and help shape priorities for their area.

Our four neighbourhoods

Bow Common
Burdett, Leopold, Lincoln and Stepney

Bromley
Bow Bridge, Devons Road, Coventry Cross, Island Point, Landmark Pinnacle and Marsh Wall

Lansbury
Lansbury North, Lansbury South and Lansbury West

Riverside
Aberfeldy, Brownfield and Teviot

When will the changes happen?

The first phase launches on 1 July and includes Housing Officers, Surveyors, Property Inspectors and Estate Services.

Other services will join the neighbourhood model in future phases.

Find your local neighbourhood team

Our dedicated neighbourhood webpages are where you’ll be able to:

  • Find your neighbourhood team and contact details
  • View local updates and action plans
  • Learn about services in your area
  • Keep up to date with neighbourhood improvements

This is just the beginning. We’ll continue to review the model, listen to resident feedback and make improvements to ensure One Team Neighbourhoods delivers the service residents have asked for.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their views and helped shape these changes.
