CSCS course
Are you 18-24 years old, living in Tower Hamlets, unemployed, and not in education? Then this is your chance to gain a CSCS Labourer's card for work in the Construction Industry!
On this course you will complete:
- Highfield Level 1 Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment
- CITB Test
- CSCS card application
Dates: 5 – 6 August, 2026
The full course is free.
This is a one day course designed for learners working or looking to work in the construction industry. Learn the knowledge required to undertake these jobs safely and complete the test required to apply for the CSCS card.
What you’ll learn
You will cover topics such as:
- The principles of risk assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work
- The importance of safe manual handling in the workplace
- The importance of working safely at height in the workplace
- Risks to health within a construction environment
- The importance of working around plant and equipment safely
Eligibility criteria
To join, you must:
- be 18-24 years old
- live in Tower Hamlets
- have the right to live and work in the UK
- not be in education or training
- be unemployed (including NOT working on a zero hour contract)
- provide the correct ID document(s) for the test: listed here
