For Karolina, buying her first home was more than just a financial decision - it was about finding a place where she could truly feel at home.
As a young professional working in supply chain and customer service, she had spent years renting in different parts of London. But when the opportunity arose to own a home through shared ownership, Karolina took the leap – and she hasn’t looked back since!
Why Poplar Riverside?
Having spent most of her time in south-east London, Karolina wanted to be closer to the heart of the city. Her new home, just minutes from the DLR, gave her easy access to work and the rest of London. And, as someone who loves walking and exploring new areas, east London was the perfect match.
“I had never really been to Limehouse before, even after living in London for over a decade. Now, I love walking there and discovering how much the area has changed!” she says.
But what really sealed the deal on this home? The incredible view from her balcony. She says:
“Seeing the Canary Wharf skyline is what sold it for me!”
Making the move from renting to owning
Like many young professionals, Karolina had always thought renting was her only option. But as she researched more, she realised that shared ownership was a smarter financial decision for her.
