Steve founded Poplar HARCA, and his entire career has been in the housing sector.

 

A lifelong resident of Tower Hamlets, Steve has led a £2.5b investment in Poplar and Bow, creating and inspiring an organisation with an international reputation for innovation, service excellence and community regeneration.

Steve has ensured that residents are central to Poplar HARCA in the way the organisation is governed, led and staffed.

Steve, on behalf of Poplar HARCA, is a proud member of both PlaceShapers and The L12 network. Steve represents us as co-spokesperson for regeneration within The L12, helping to shape national conversations on place-based change.

Steve is currently a Committee Member for our Finance and Audit Committee. He is also a Trustee for Shoreditch Tabernacle Baptist Church and The Tab Centre, and a Committee Member for Reclaim Our River.

Previously, Steve was the President of Chartered Institute of Housing, and a host of Board and Committee positions including Foundation for Future London, Chair of Chartered Institute of Housing’s Diversity in Housing Commission, Chair of National Housing Federation’s London and National Stock Transfer committees, Board Member for Tower Hamlets’ Health & Wellbeing Board and Chair of Governors for Arnhem Wharf Primary School.
