A new accolade from The Sunday Times confirms what everyone in E14 already knows: Poplar is officially the coolest postcode in the capital.
The Sunday Times has celebrated Poplar’s creative energy, architectural character and thriving community scene, recognising it as a place where independent enterprises are flourishing.
We’re proud that some of the homes and spaces we help deliver and support are playing a role in shaping Poplar’s appeal.
Poplar Works, a training and workspace on Abbott Road, is praised as a hub for emerging fashion brands and local makers, sitting at the heart of a growing creative community. The famous, brutalist residential building, Balfron Tower, is noted as a ‘local icon’.
Poplar Union, a much‑loved arts and community venue that sits between the Limehouse Cut and Bartlett Park, also received recognition for its wide programme of events and classes. Within the same space, the e5 Bakehouse is spotlighted as one of E14’s top food spots.
