Poplar Works is a home for anyone working in fashion: designers, makers, jewellers, experienced business owners, and first year start-ups.
Poplar Works comprises of over 40 individual studios, a training space and a garment production unit set across two sites on the Teviot and Aberfeldy estates in Poplar. It is located 15 minutes’ walk from Bromley-by-Bow underground station or 10-minutes’ walk from Langdon Park DLR Station.
Poplar Works will equip people in the local community with the skills and opportunities to establish careers in the creative industries by:
- providing much needed low cost workspace on an all-inclusive basis
- training over 40 people a year in fashion production
- offering a range of business support programmes
- bringing manufacturing back to Poplar.
Poplar Works is a partnership between Poplar HARCA, London College of Fashion, UAL and The Trampery. All three organisations have worked together to bring something unique to the space. We’ve been supported by the Mayor of London and are part of the Fashion District.
