Grand opening of St Paul's Way Foundation School

Over 600 people helped celebrate the grand opening of the St Paul's Way Foundation School on 31st October. The new school is part of a larger regeneration scheme in the St Paul’s Way area, which includes new green spaces, the new Burdett Mosque and over 100 new homes, in partnership between Poplar HARCA, St Paul’s Way Trust School and Telford Homes.

Student drummers, dancers and musicians brought the space to life whilst families toured the wonderful new teaching spaces, playground and Early Years' outdoor spaces. The school even boasts an orchard and an allotment.

The school opened in temporary accommodation in 2013, and the new purpose-built facilities (completed in September 2018) have allowed the school to expand its numbers. It is already over-subscribed!

Residents and local people will benefit from the new building as many of the facilities, including the school hall, will be available for community use.
