Spring is upon us, but it doesn’t mean mould and damp can’t develop in your home - especially if there’s too much moisture in the air from cooking, showering, or other everyday activities. To help with this, our team has been installing extractor fans and LED lights to keep your homes and buildings, dry, and energy-efficient - which also helps save money on energy bills.
Keeping moisture under control
Extractor fans help remove steam and stop damp from building up. The new environmentally friendly extractor fans in kitchens and bathrooms work automatically to keep air flowing.
They work by:
- running on a low power setting all day to stop moisture from building up
- switching to boost mode to remove steam faster when you cook or shower
- always being on. They can’t be turned off and will be working to keep your home fresh
- costing about £20 a year to run… that’s less than £2 per month to run both the kitchen and bathroom fan
These fans help prevent damp, mould, and bad smells, making your home healthier.
