School Streets – Masjid Lane Road Closure

From Monday 2 November, Masjid Lane will be closed to traffic at the times below:

Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Morning: 8.30 – 9.15am
Afternoon: 2.45 – 3.30pm

We have been working together with Stebon Primary School and St Pauls Way Foundation Primary School to make it safer for children and families to get to and from school. This has been difficult and dangerous until now because of the high level of traffic on this small road.

School Streets aim to encourage activity, reduce pollution and help growth, learning and development. Families are being encouraged to find healthier ways to travel to school, including cycling, scooting, skating or walking.

Residents who are parked on the estate will be able to exit but all other traffic (except emergency vehicles) will be stopped from entering between the times above. A one–way system will allow residents to exit by Fitzroy House.

There is also no parking on the narrow lane along Limborough House, behind Stebon Primary School, during these times.
