Teviot Festival brings the community together
13/07/2026
Hundreds of local people came together for this year's Teviot Festival, enjoying an afternoon of live music, great food, family activities and fun on the water.
Held at the Teviot Centre, the festival welcomed residents of all ages to celebrate summer with local stalls, performances and activities inspired by the Festival of Britain.
Visitors also had the chance to try paddleboarding and canoeing from the new pontoon on Limehouse Cut, adding a new way for families and neighbours to enjoy one of the area’s most important waterways.
The Teviot Festival has been part of community life since the 1970s. Every year, it brings people together to celebrate local talent, meet neighbours and enjoy time with family and friends.
We’re proud to deliver the festival with our development partners, The Hill Group. It’s part of our shared commitment to creating lasting benefits for local people alongside the upcoming Teviot regeneration.
Leaders in Community also played a key role in helping organise the event. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, performed or helped behind the scenes. Your support made the day such a success.
Events like the Teviot Festival show what makes this community special. They create opportunities for people to connect, celebrate local culture and make memories together.
