Spotlight #GetInspired Volunteer

As a #GetInspired volunteer, you will support young people who attend Spotlight to develop their career aspirations, entrepreneurial skills and broaden their horizons through supporting inspirational activities and workshops.

Our #GetInspired strand runs several youth programmes across the year, including the Youth Empowerment Board, Wellbeing Ambassadors Programme, Community Heroes and Employability Clinic.

Your supervisor for this role will be the #GetInspired Lead at Spotlight.

Location: 

All sessions will take place in person at Spotlight, 30 Hay Currie St, E14 6GN. 

What will you do? 

  • Assist youth workers in delivering the #GetInspired programmes 
  • Share professional experiences and knowledge to inspire young people 
  • Help coordinate guest speakers and external partnerships 
  • Support young people in developing project ideas and seeing them through 
  • Create a positive environment that encourages young people to explore their potential

Please note that for this role you will have to be at least 19 years of age. As part of our safer recruitment process you will also need to complete an enhanced DBS check (which we will cover the cost for) and provide two references. 

Suggested time commitment: 

  • A minimum of 2 hours per week (sessions typically take place on weekday evenings, but times alter during school holidays) 
  • Initial 3 month commitment with opportunity to continue
