This scheme has created 18 new affordable homes on empty and disused plots of land, at Devons Road, Rainhill Way and Talwin Street.

The new infill homes, developments which are built on empty or disused plots of land alongside existing buildings, were built on what was Birchdown House car park and former garage sites at Denbury, Huntshaw and Holsworthy House.  Infill development are sometimes referred to as ‘land recycling’.

Features of the scheme include:

  • 18 new homes 6 for affordable rent and 12 shared ownership.
  • 3 family size terraced houses on Devons Road which have roof top gardens
  • 8 one, two and three bedroom flats on Rainhill Way, each with its own private balcony or outdoor space and overlooking a communal garden
  • 7 one and two bedroom flats on Talwin Street, each with its own private balcony or outdoor space and overlooking a communal garden

Works started on site in summer 2020 and completed in early spring 2022.
