Making our community safer, together

11/06/2025

Join us for Antisocial Behaviour Awareness Week: 30 June - 6 July

Antisocial Behaviour Awareness Week is running from Monday 30 June to Sunday 6 July 2025. It’s a national campaign to raise awareness about antisocial behaviour, including what it involves, how it impacts communities, and what help is available for anyone affected.

Our Community Safety team will be hitting the streets throughout the week, chatting about what we’re doing to tackle antisocial behaviour and sharing the different ways you can report it and get support.

We want everyone to feel informed, supported, and confident enough to speak up if they feel unsafe.

What is antisocial behaviour?

Antisocial behaviour is anything that makes life harder or more upsetting for the people around us. It could be loud noise that keeps you up at night, vandalism, harassment, public drinking, or other activities that disrupt the peace.

We understand how much these actions can affect your day-to-day life, and are committed to working together to create a community that feels safer, kinder, and more respectful for everyone.

What’s on throughout the week

Come along to one of our Community Safety Pop-ups to:

  • learn what antisocial behaviour is
  • find out how to report it
  • meet our Community Safety team who work to tackle it
  • get support if you or someone you know is affected by it
  • pick up helpful tips on using the Noise App to record and share evidence of noise nuisance

All ages welcome, come and say hello!

Monday 30 June, 10am – 1pm

Tuesday 1 July, 10am – 1pm

Wednesday 2 July, 10am – 1pm

Thursday 2 July, 10am – 1pm

How we’re making a difference

We deal with different types of antisocial behaviour in our community. Here are some real examples of how we’ve helped:

  • we supported a group of neighbours to resolve ongoing noise problems through mediation
  • we worked with police and youth services to deal with young people causing concern outside a local shop
  • we provided practical help and protection for a resident who was being repeatedly verbally abused

How to report antisocial behaviour

If you experience or witness antisocial behaviour, please let us know. Reporting it helps us take action to improve safety for everyone in our community.

Email the team at communitysafety@poplarharca.co.uk, fill out our online form below, or call us on 0800 035 1991. Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
