Discover the hidden nature and green spaces of the Lincoln estate with our new self-guided trail.

Launching in early July 2026, the Great Green Trail allows you to explore a variety of flowers, wildlife, history and heritage across the estate. The full walk takes around 20–30 minutes and includes four new green spaces to discover.

New trail signs are being installed across the estate to help visitors follow the route and learn more about the spaces around them. You can also pick up a map from the Linc Centre or download a copy below to start planning your adventure.

About the project

The Great Green Trail is part of The Great Green Estate project, celebrating our underused green spaces, wildlife pockets, and beautiful plants and trees.

We’ve been working with local people and community groups to bring these spaces back to life. Together, we’re aiming to create greener, healthier places that welcome wildlife, tackle climate change, and improve our local environment for everyone.
