Meet your team

Housing Officer Oksana Nosajeva
Rents Officer Ishaq Ahmed
I am passionate about helping people find stability and security in their homes. I support residents through the challenges of managing their rent and maintaining their tenancies, by building positive relationships.
Community Safety Officer Farjana Begum
As someone who grew up in Tower Hamlets, I understand the issues residents are experiencing. I want to make a difference and tackle antisocial behaviour to ensure a safer community for all residents..

Neighbourhood priorities

Pets

Many of our residents view their pets as beloved companions, and having pets can bring many benefits for physical and mental wellbeing. We promote animal welfare and support our residents in providing excellent care for their pets.

It’s important that pets are properly managed. In line with legal requirements, all cats and dogs must be microchipped.

We will address any issues that arise from pet ownership, such as pets causing disturbances, being aggressive, damaging property, or leaving messes in shared spaces.

Banned breeds

In the UK, it’s against the law to own certain types of dog. Whether your dog is a banned type depends on what it looks like, rather than its breed or name.

It’s a criminal offence to own or possess an XL Bully dog in England and Wales unless you have a valid Certificate of Exemption.

It’s against the law to:

  • sell a banned dog
  • abandon a banned dog
  • give away a banned dog
  • breed from a banned dog

If you believe that your neighbour or someone in the community is doing any of the above it is important that you report it to the Police online or call 101 if the dog is out of control.

Noise

We understand the adverse effects of noise nuisance on residents’ quality of life. Most noise reports we receive are related to household noise rather than antisocial behaviour.

Where that is the case, our Community Safety team will offer mediation as the resolution.

Where noise is considered antisocial, such as persistent and excessively loud music, we will follow our antisocial behaviour process and will take enforcement action when necessary.

If you are reporting noise, you will be asked to use the Noise app and send us evidence of the issues. If you don’t have a smart phone to use the Noise app, we will install noise monitoring equipment for a week.

Litter, rubbish and fly-tipping

We want to create great neighbourhoods for our residents and communities. We appreciate how important it is to keep them free from environmental issues.

Our Estate Services team works hard to ensure that our estates are kept free from litter, rubbish and fly tips.

Environmental issues are reported to the Community Safety team and if offenders are identified we will deal with them. Individuals will be recharged the cost of the clearance and if the matter continues to happen, they may face tenancy action.

Investing in your area

Making the area greener

Funding was secured with Trees for Cities to plant trees and create a new school garden at Culloden Primary School.

New facilities at Aberfeldy Square

The Summer in the Square event in 2024 celebrated the new Aberfeldy Square and brought the community together. New shops, cafes, GP surgery and nursery, alongside the Feldy community centre are all providing much-needed community facilities.

Aberfeldy regeneration gets the green light

The Aberfeldy regeneration project, led together with EcoWorld, won approval from the Mayor of London in early 2024. The Resident Steering Group will ensure the development follows the resident-shaped plan. This marks a major step towards completing the transformation of the estate Read more

Heat Meter billing

Aberfeldy energy suppliers & billing agents

Some blocks on Aberfeldy are served with a communal plant room, where heating and hot water are produced centrally and delivered to multiple homes via insulated pipes, eliminating the need for individual boilers. For these blocks, the heating bills are managed by a metering and billing agent who collect on behalf of Poplar HARCA or your energy supplier.
